Filter Cartridges and Capsules

Double Open End (DOE) cartridges are, as the name implies, open at both ends and rely on the sealing arrangement within the housing to close one end of the filter and so direct flow through the other end.

Single Open End (SOE) cartridges are those which have one end of the cartridge already 'blocked' with a blanking end cap, and the other end open but with an end cap attached with built in 'O' rings, giving a much more efficient and reliable seal.

Where processes are most aggressive we offer both pleated and cylindrical SupaMesh filters that can be used in temperatures ranging from –150oC to +300oC and for differential pressures up to 25 bar in the normal flow direction. They are also available with optional outer guards where reverse flow or backwashing is required.

The SupaClean filter system consists of our standard filter cartridges enclosed inside two sealed plastic bags. This results in the filters and any process fluids being contained inside a secure assembly, providing isolation of the product and filters. The whole system is used inside a stainless steel housing.

We offer products with sintered block or rolled felt activated carbon, either in standard cartridge format or as large diameter, high capacity versions. Typical applications include chlorine removal and decolourisation.

SupaPore Capsules are fully disposable filter units for small and medium scale liquid and gas processing applications. They are ready-to-use, avoiding the need to purchase or maintain filter housings and are easy to change-out with minimum downtime. Available with hydrophilic PES or hydrophobic PTFE membranes and with polypropylene or Borosilicate Glass pleated media.

We are able to offer absolute rated pleated membrane filters with either hydrophilic polyethersulphone (PES), hydrophilic nylon 66 or hydrophobic PTFE media. Typically SupaPore VP PES filters (rated 0.03 – 1 μm) and SupaPore NP Nylon 66 (rated 0.1 – 0.65 μm) are used for aqueous solutions and SupaPore TP PTFE filters (rated 0.1 – 3 μm) are used for air, gas and solvents. These are supported with comprehensive technical documentation.
